How do automated Google reviews work?

Automatically turn happy guests into Google reviews with Owner’s built-in feedback system.

Updated this week

Owner makes it easy to automatically collect more positive Google reviews from satisfied customers. Here's how it works:

1. Ask for Quick Feedback

Right after a customer places an order, we ask for a quick thumbs up or thumbs down:

  • On the order confirmation screen

  • Via a QR code on their receipt

  • In their order confirmation email

2. Guide customers to the right place

  • If they tap 👍, they’re sent directly to your restaurant’s Google review page.

  • If they tap 👎, they’re shown a short, private feedback form that only you can see.

✅ This helps ensure only your happiest customers are prompted to leave a public review.

3. Send Reminders

To boost response rates, we follow up with:

  • An email reminder about an hour after the meal

  • A review link in the SMS receipt

ℹ️ These links stay active for 30 days.

4. Match Reviews to Orders

Owner automatically scans for new Google reviews and matches them to recent orders based on name, email, and timing. When a match is made with high confidence, you’ll get an email notification with the full details.

5. Keep You Informed

See your review activity anytime from the Owner Dashboard:

  • Go to the Overview page at the location level

  • Filter by date to see reviews over time

  • View previews of the most recent reviews
