Your photographer will be with you for 2 hours. With good preparation, most restaurants capture 30+ dishes, about one every 4 minutes.
What to expect during your shoot
Your photographer will capture three main types of shots:
1. Best-selling dishes
Your most popular items. Skip extras like dips or sauces unless they're signature items.
2. Hero shots
Multiple signature dishes featured together.
3. Lifestyle photos
Team portraits, owner photos, and high-quality storefront shots.
Prepare before the shoot
1. Assign a point person
Designate someone to coordinate between the kitchen and photographer to keep the shoot on track.
2. Create and print a shot list
Choose which dishes you want photographed and print copies for both the chef and photographer.
3. Pick a bright, clean area
Pick 1–2 clean tables near a window with strong natural light. Make sure plates are polished and the area is ready to shoot.
4. Confirm your booking
If you haven't heard from your photographer the day before the shoot, check your email for a confirmation from Snappr with contact details. You can also reach out to the Owner representative who helped you book the session.
On the day of your shoot
1. Before the photographer arrives
Brief your chef on the shot list and gather any props you'll need, like garnishes, branded napkins, or utensils.
2. When the photographer arrives
Have a few dishes plated and ready. Hand over the printed shot list right away and keep things moving by clearing used plates and bringing out the next dishes promptly.
