Catering orders are large, so you may not want your coupons to apply to them. Turn on Exclude specific items or categories in the coupon editor to leave your catering categories out.
Exclude catering from a coupon
You set this on each coupon in your Owner Dashboard. First open the coupon, then choose the categories to leave out.
Open the coupon
Go to Marketing › Coupons.
Click the coupon you want to change.
Choose the categories to exclude
Scroll down to the Applied To section and turn on Exclude specific items or categories.
Select the catering categories you want the coupon to skip. To tell them apart from your regular categories, open your catering menu in another tab.
Click Save Coupon at the top.
Excluded items are left out of the discountable subtotal and the minimum-spend check, so catering orders get no discount. Any new regular menu categories you add later still work with the coupon, so there's nothing to maintain.
