Owner asks your guests for feedback right after they order, sends the happy ones to Google, and keeps the unhappy ones private so you can fix things first. The whole process runs automatically.
How the automated review system works
Owner handles each of these five steps for you.
Step 1: Ask for a quick thumbs up or thumbs down
As soon as a guest finishes their order, they see two big buttons (👍 and 👎) on:
The web confirmation screen
A QR code on the printed receipt
The order confirmation email
Step 2: Send them to the right place
👍 Thumbs up opens the guest's Google review form.
👎 Thumbs down opens a short private feedback form that only you see. It lands in your Inbox and on the Customer support page under Website.
Step 3: Remind politely
Owner reminds guests in two more places so they don't forget:
A follow-up email about an hour after they eat.
The SMS receipt link.
Step 4: Match the review to the order
Every few minutes, Owner pulls new Google reviews. The system matches each review to a recent order using the guest's name or email plus the time they tapped 👍.
Step 5: Let you know
Once Owner confirms a review came through Owner, you get an email. The review also arrives in your Inbox, under the Reviews tab.
Read and reply to a review
You can read and answer reviews from the Reviews tab in your Inbox.
Go to Inbox in your Owner Dashboard.
Click the Reviews tab.
Click a review to open it. You'll see who left it, what they said, their recent orders, and a box to write your reply.
ℹ️ Note: Inbox is in the Owner app too, so you can read and answer guests when you're away from the Dashboard.

Where to see your reviews
You can see your reviews in two places, and each one does a different job.
Inbox: The Reviews tab lists each review as it comes in, alongside your support requests and form submissions. This is where you reply.
Overview page of your Dashboard: Shows your review totals. Use the date selector at the top to see how many reviews you got at each rating in a period, with a preview of the most recent ones.
ℹ️ Note: If you haven't received any Owner-driven Google reviews in the last 30 days, the review totals don't appear on the Overview page. They also only show at the location level, not the brand level.
Turn off guest reviews
Turning off Customer reviews stops the follow-up emails and the review prompts.
Requirements
The update brand permission, for anyone else who uses your Dashboard and needs to change this setting.
From your Owner Dashboard:
Go to Settings › Brand details.
Scroll to Features.
Turn off Customer reviews.
ℹ️ Note: The same Features group also holds Rewards and Gift cards.
FAQ
Can a guest coming from Owner leave a low rating on Google?
Can a guest coming from Owner leave a low rating on Google?
Yes. Once a guest is redirected to Google, they can leave any rating. But guests are only redirected after they tap thumbs up, and in practice these reviews are overwhelmingly 4 or 5 stars.
What if a guest uses a nickname on Google?
What if a guest uses a nickname on Google?
The system still tries to match the review by checking the guest's email and the timing of when they tapped 👍. If the system isn't confident about the match, it leaves the review unmatched to keep the data clean.
Does a thumbs-down hurt my Google rating?
Does a thumbs-down hurt my Google rating?
No. Thumbs-down feedback stays private inside Owner and never reaches Google. It gives you a chance to address the problem before it becomes a public review.
When do I get the notification email?
When do I get the notification email?
You get it as soon as Owner matches a review with high confidence. Each review triggers one email.
Can guests leave a review later?
Can guests leave a review later?
Yes, but the links in Owner's emails and texts work for 7 days after the order. A Google review published more than 7 days after the guest tapped thumbs up won't be matched back to the order. A guest logged in to their account can still reach the order page after that, but the review will no longer be attributed to Owner.
