How do I edit a category on the Owner POS and Owner Tablet?

The category detail screen lets you rename a category, update its description, assign it to menus, set channels, configure upsell categories, and delete it.

1. Tap Menu in the side navigation.

2. Tap the category you want to edit in the sidebar.


Rename a category or update its description

1. Tap the category name, display name, or description at the top of the screen to edit it inline.

2. Type the new text and tap outside the field to save.

ℹ️ The internal name is what you and your staff see. The display name is what guests see. If they differ, both fields appear. You can also start editing from the menu in the top-right corner.


Change category settings

Scroll to the bottom of the category screen to find additional settings. Tap any row to change it.

Controls where this category appears: POS, Online, Kiosk, or any combination.

Menus

Assigns this category to one or more menus.

Upsell categories

Selects categories whose items are suggested to guests when they order from this category.


Delete a category

1. Scroll to the bottom of the category screen.

2. Tap Delete.

3. Confirm when prompted.

⚠️ Deleting a category is permanent. The items inside it aren't deleted, but they'll no longer belong to this category.
