Your online ordering page can show a Discounts section at the very top. It lists the coupons you've chosen to promote, so guests see them before they start ordering.
Show a coupon in the Discounts section
A coupon appears there when you turn on Promote on your menu while creating or editing it.
ℹ️ Note: Coupons only appear in this section during their availability hours.
How guests use it
Each coupon in the section has a + icon. Clicking it adds the coupon code to the cart. What happens next depends on the coupon.
Discount on the whole order: clicking + applies it straight away, as long as the guest meets the coupon's requirements.
Discount on a specific item: clicking + asks the guest to add that item first. Once it's in the cart, they click + again to apply the code.
Unless the coupon's Usage limit per customer is set to as many times as they like, clicking + asks the guest to sign in with their phone number and a one-time code. If they close that dialog, the coupon isn't applied and they see a message asking them to create an account.
Guests can also note the code down and enter it at checkout instead.
