View or reset a staff passcode (PIN)

Each staff member logs in to your POS and tablet with their own 4-digit passcode (PIN). If someone forgets theirs, or it may have been shared, you can view it, reset it, or choose a new one from your Owner Dashboard or the Owner App.

Requirements

ℹ️ Note: The passcode works only on your POS and tablet. Your dashboard and the Owner App use an email and password instead. See Reset your Owner password.

From your Owner Dashboard

Use this when a staff member forgets their passcode.

  1. Go to Staff › Members and click the staff member's name.

  2. Click Passcode.

  3. Click Show passcode, then share it with them privately.

Reset a passcode if someone else may have seen it. You can let us create a random one, or choose the 4 digits yourself.

⚠️ Easy-to-guess passcodes are blocked, like 1111 or 1234. If you see Please select a more secure passcode., try different digits.

From the Owner App

View their passcode

  1. Tap More, then Staff Members, and tap the staff member's name.

  2. Tap Passcode.

  3. Tap Show passcode, then share it with them privately.

Reset or choose a new passcode

What happens after a change

The old passcode stops working right away. We email the new passcode to your staff member. Anyone already logged in to a POS or tablet stays logged in until they log out or the device locks.

✅ Tip: If your staff member has no email on file, they won't get the email. Use Show passcode and share the new passcode with them yourself.
