How do I renew my Apple Developer Account?

Step-by-step instructions for renewing an expired Apple Developer account so your mobile app can be restored to the App Store.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

If you see an alert in your Owner dashboard that your Apple Developer account has expired, your app has been automatically removed from the App Store by Apple, this happens when the annual Apple Developer Program membership lapses. Renewing your account is the only way to restore it.

⚠️ Your app will remain off the App Store until your account is renewed. Complete this as quickly as possible to minimize downtime.

Steps to Renew

1. Go to developer.apple.com and click the account icon in the top right corner.

2. Sign in to your Apple Developer account

Use the email address associated with your Apple Developer account.

3. Renew your membership

After signing in, you'll see a prompt to renew your Apple Developer Program membership. Click Renew Membership and complete the annual payment.

4. Complete the payment

Follow the on-screen steps to enter your payment information and place your order. You'll receive an email confirmation when the renewal is complete.

ℹ️ Apple typically processes renewals within 24 hours. Your app should reappear in the App Store within 24-48 hours after your renewal is confirmed.

5. Turn on Auto-Renew (optional)

In Membership details, you can toggle on Auto-Renew to ensure your app can never be pulled from the App Store due to an expired membership. Apple will charge your card automatically each year on your expiration date.
