How do I log in with multi-factor authentication (MFA)?

Multi-factor authentication (MFA), also called two-factor authentication (2FA), adds a one-time verification code to your login. Along with your password, you enter a code we text or email you. This keeps your account safe.

Logging in on the Owner dashboard

1. Go to dashboard.owner.com and enter your email and password, then click Sign In.

2. Check for your verification code.

We text a 6-digit code to the phone number on your account. If you don't have a phone number on file, we email it to you instead.

3. Enter the code, then click Verify code.

If we email your code, you can also click the login link in the email to sign in without typing anything.

ℹ️ You'll do this each time you log in. Your code expires after a few minutes. If you have both a phone number and an email on file, click Try another way on the verification screen to switch how you get your code.

Logging in on the Owner app

Multi-factor authentication also applies to the Owner app. Enter your email and password as usual, then enter the verification code we text or email you.

Common questions

Do I need to set anything up?

No. MFA turns on automatically. You don't need to install an app or change any settings.

I didn't get my code.

Codes can take a moment to arrive. Double-check the phone number or email on your account. On the verification screen, click Try another way to switch between text and email, or to send a new code. Codes expire after a few minutes.

I don't have a phone number on file.

No problem. We email your code instead.

Do I need a code on my POS or tablet?

No. MFA applies to your Owner dashboard and app, not your POS or tablet.

Can I turn it off?

No. MFA is required to keep your account and your guests' data secure.
