Why you need this
Stripe requires extra sign-in protection. You’ll need Google Authenticator to set up two-factor authentication (2FA) when creating your Stripe account. Installing it in advance makes the setup faster and easier.
Android setup instructions
Step 1. Download Google Authenticator
Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.
Search for Google Authenticator.
Ensure the app is published by Google LLC.

Step 2. Open and set up the app
Once installed, tap Open.

Tap the drop-down to choose another linked Gmail account.
If you don’t have a Gmail account linked:
Tap Use without an account to continue.
Step 3. Link Google Authenticator to Stripe (iOS or Android)
Only complete this step if you are setting up your Stripe account now.
In Google Authenticator, tap Add a code.
Select Scan a QR code.

Point your camera at the QR code shown on the Stripe setup page.
Once scanned, the app will display a 6-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds.
Enter the current code into Stripe to continue your account setup.
