Add your legal business and tax details

Confirm the legal details for each business that owns your locations, so Owner can set up your payments, app listing, and guest texts.

Register your business is one of your setup steps when you join Owner. Find it in your setup to-do list.

✅ Do this before Set up payouts. Owner uses these details to fill in your payout setup, so you won't enter them twice.

Add a business entity

Add one entity for each legal business that owns your locations. Most restaurants have just one.

  1. Select Add business entity.

  2. Enter your Legal business name, exactly as it appears on your IRS documents.

  3. Select your Business entity type.

  4. Enter your EIN. If you chose Sole Proprietorship as your entity type, this field becomes SSN or EIN and accepts your SSN instead.

  5. Enter your Registered business address.

  6. Under Locations owned, check every location this business owns.

  7. Select Save entity.

ℹ️ If different legal businesses own different locations, add a separate entity for each. Owner shows how many locations still need one at the top of the page.

Finish the step

  1. Add entities until every location is covered. The "locations not covered yet" note disappears when you're done.

  2. Select Next task.
