Set up payments in your Owner Dashboard so you can accept orders and receive payouts. Depending on your account, the Dashboard shows you one of two setups: Owner Payments, where you complete everything in Owner, or Standard Connect, where you create a Stripe login.
Before you start
Have these business details ready:
Your legal business name
Your EIN (or SSN for sole proprietors)
Your business address
The bank account where you want payouts sent
If setup happens entirely in Owner (Owner Payments)
You'll only see Stripe once, when you connect your bank. Everything else happens in Owner.
Start setup
Go to your Owner Dashboard and click Launch.
Under Online Ordering, click Get paid.
If you have more than one restaurant, click Start next to a restaurant. All your restaurants appear in one list, so you don't need to switch locations.
Note: On the Owner app, tap Continue in browser, complete the steps there, then return to the app.
Enter your details
Enter your business details: legal business name, DBA if different, EIN or SSN, business address, phone, and website.
Enter your account representative details. This is the person authorized to sign for the business.
Choose your bank, or enter your bank details manually.
Log in through the Stripe popup and pick the account that receives payouts.
Review and submit
Review each section. If a section shows Incomplete, click Edit to fix it.
Click Submit.
If you have more than one restaurant, go back to the list and repeat these steps for the next one.
After you submit, the Get paid task shows your status:
Payout details submitted: Your details are under review. You don't need to do anything.
More information required: Click back in and add what's missing.
Payment setup complete: You're verified and ready to receive payouts.
If setup asks you to create a Stripe login (Standard Connect)
Older accounts, and some accounts set up with Owner POS, use this path. You'll create a Stripe login as part of setup.
Start setup
Go to your Owner Dashboard and open Launch.
Under Online Ordering, click Get paid.
If a restaurant list appears, click Start or Continue next to the restaurant. Follow the setup shown for that account.
Create your Stripe login
Owner creates your Stripe account automatically using your location's contact email, so you won't be asked to enter one. To use a different email, update your contact email in Settings before you start.
Click Add information.
Create a password.
Click Submit.
Set up two-step verification
Click Use your phone.
Enter your cell number.
Click Send text.
Enter the code.
Save your backup code and finish
Download and save your backup code. You'll need it if you get locked out.
Enter your business details to finish.
