The Taxes and Taxable Item Sales reports show the sales tax you collected, so you have the numbers ready when it's time to file. Both are under Sales on the Reports page of your Owner Dashboard.

Taxes

A chart shows your tax over time. Each row in the table is one day. The columns are:

  • Date

  • Order Count: paid orders that day.

  • Total Tax: the tax you collected. Tax waived on tax-exempt orders isn't included.

The report opens on the last 30 days. Click the dates at the top to pick another range, like This Month or Last Year, and to show rows by day, week, or month.

ℹ️ Note: Owner doesn't file or pay sales tax for you. Your payouts include the tax your guests paid, so set it aside.

Taxable Item Sales

This report shows every dollar of item sales, split by how it was taxed.

⚠️ Select a single location first. This report doesn't load when you're viewing all locations.

The top of the page shows Net item sales and Tax collected. The table has these rows:

  • Sales Tax: sales that were taxed, with your location's tax rate.

  • No tax applied: items and options that aren't set up to be taxed.

  • Tax exempt: taxable sales where a tax exemption waived the tax. This row only shows when you have some.

For each row you'll see Tax, Rate, Net Sales, and Tax Collected. A few things to know:

  • One order can show in more than one row if it has taxed and untaxed items.

  • Discounts lower your taxed sales first.

  • Canceled and unpaid orders aren't counted.

  • To see one channel, like POS or Website, use the All channels filter.

✅ Tip: Tax collected is the number to use when you file.

The report opens on the last four weeks. Use the date picker at the top to change it.
