Open the report
1. In your Owner Dashboard, click Reports.
2. Under Sales, select Total Sales.
3. Set your date range at the top of the page. If a second dropdown appears next to it, you can switch between a daily, weekly, or monthly view.
⚠️ In weekly or monthly view, the report shows the whole week or month, not just the dates you picked. Filtering 8/19 to 9/19 in monthly view shows all of August and all of September.
4. To report on a single shift, set a start and end time, like 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
ℹ️ On a high volume account, a month long range can take a while to load. Try a shorter range if the report is slow.
What it shows
Top metrics

Line by line breakdown
Below the chart, a line by line breakdown shows how Total Collected was calculated.
ℹ️ Click the "i" icon next to any line to see what it includes.
Payments
Payments sits at the bottom of the report. It splits what you collected by payment type:
Card
Cash
Gift card
Third-party marketplaces like DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub
You'll also see refunds, net payments, and gift card sales, which count toward your total sales. These numbers match your Payment Methods report.
What is not counted as sales
Voided and failed orders
Disputes and chargebacks
Find disputes and chargebacks on your Payouts Report. The money taken back still comes out of the payout breakdown at the bottom of this report, so it lowers your bank deposit.
Find the sales tax you collected
Your payouts include the sales tax your guests paid. Owner doesn't file or pay sales tax for you, so set it aside and file it yourself.
The Sales Tax line in the breakdown shows the tax you collected for the dates you picked. For a tax-only view, open the Taxes report under Sales on the Reports page.
How orders are dated
An order counts on the day it was paid, not the day it was placed. A phone order placed at 5:00 PM and paid at pickup at 7:00 PM counts at 7:00 PM.
⚠️ Because of this, a single day's total can differ from an older export. Your total across the full date range does not change.
Match a payout to your sales
Pick one payout and the report narrows to the orders that paid into it. This ties your sales to the exact amount that landed in your bank account.
Select one location. Payout matching is not available across all locations at once.
Clear any other filters, such as channel, payment method, staff, or time of day.
⚠️ The payout breakdown only shows when the payout is the only filter applied. If you add another filter, the breakdown disappears, though the rest of the report still works. Clear the extra filters to bring it back.
At the top of the report, select the payout you want.
Scroll to the payout breakdown at the bottom of the page.
The breakdown starts with your net card payments, then accounts for processing fees, refunds, disputes, adjustments, and gift card activity. The final figure is what was deposited in your bank.
Only card payments flow into a payout. Cash, gift cards, and marketplace orders still show in Payments, but they are not part of the payout. DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub pay you directly on their own schedule.
ℹ️ If one payout covers the end of one business day and most of the next, contact Owner.com support about setting a custom start of day, so each payout lines up with your own day.
