Settings on your Owner tablet and POS

Use Settings to set prep and delivery times, manage your hours, and configure printing for your station and location. Settings works the same on your Owner tablet and POS, and your changes save automatically.

Requirements

  • Owner tablet or Owner POS. Staff tips and time clocking are available on the Owner POS only.

  • The update location permission, for every section except Station

Open Settings

Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left to open the side drawer, then tap Settings. Settings has these sections:

  • Station

  • Delivery

  • Orders

  • Prep time (only appears for locations with order throttling turned on)

  • Catering

  • Time clocking

  • Hours

Orders

From the side drawer, tap Settings, then Orders.

Set the average prep and delivery time

Under Average time to prepare an order, pick a preset chip (5, 10, 15, 20, or 25 min) or tap Enter Amount for a custom time.

Under Additional time for delivery, pick +5, +10, +15, +20, or +25 min, or tap Enter Amount.

ℹ️ Note: One prep-time setting applies across your POS, website, app, and Dashboard, so changing it here changes it everywhere.

Configure large order settings

Set what counts as a large order so the kitchen gets buffer time on big tickets.

Under Large order size, first pick whether the threshold is measured in Items or Dollars. Then choose a preset chip or tap Enter Amount for a custom value.

  • Items: presets are 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25. Custom values can be 1 to 100.

  • Dollars: presets are $50, $75, $100, $150, and $200. Custom values can be $1 to $1,000.

Under Additional preparation time for large orders, pick +5, +10, +15, +20, or +25 min, or tap Enter Amount.

ℹ️ Note: The extra time stacks on top of the default prep time. For example, a 15-minute default plus a 20-minute large-order extra is 35 minutes of total prep on a large order.

In-store order prompts

Under In-store orders:

  • Turn on Ask for customer name so the POS asks for a name before you send or pay for an order. Staff can tap Skip.

  • Turn on Ask for a table number for dine-in orders to show Add table no. on dine-in orders. Use this when you hand guests a numbered placard.

  • Turn on Use table service features to seat guests at tables, keep checks open across rounds, and split checks. This applies to every station at your location. See Set up table service and your floor plan.

  • Turn on Text dine-in customers when their order is ready to send an order-ready text to dine-in guests.

  • Turn on Text to-go customers when their order is ready to send an order-ready text to to-go guests.

⚠️ You can only turn table service on or off when no orders are open. Complete or cancel all scheduled and open orders first.

Auto-start tickets

Turn on Auto-start tickets so tickets start automatically when they enter the prep window.

From the side drawer, tap Settings, then Station.

The Station screen shows connected devices (printer, card reader, guest tablet, staff tablet) and lets you configure station-level behavior. The header also has Test print and, at multi-station locations, Change station.
