The hero is the large photo or video at the top of your homepage, behind your headline. It's the first thing guests see on your website.
✅ Short on time? Ask Owner Agent to update your hero for you. Open Ask Owner in your Owner Dashboard or Owner App.
Change your hero
Your hero holds one photo or one video, plus a headline.
In your website builder, go to Update home page › Hero section.
Under Hero image, click Upload to add your own photo or video, or select one from Recents.
Change the Headline if you want. It can be up to 150 characters.
Click Save.
ℹ️ Note: If your headline says it's managed by your SEO team, you can't edit it yourself. Contact Owner Support to change it.
Create a hero photo or video
Don't have a good hero photo? Owner can create one for you from your menu item photos, your own photos, or both.
In Hero section, under Hero image, click Generate.
Choose Generate food spread for a photo, or Generate video for a video.
Pick menu items on the Menu tab, or upload your own pictures on the Photos tab. Choose up to 4 for a photo, or up to 9 for a video. Then click Create food spread or Create video.
Review the result, then click Save.
ℹ️ Note: Only menu items that have photos show up on the Menu tab.
Choose a photo that fits
Your hero fills the screen, so part of the photo gets cut off. Phones cut off the sides, and computers cut off the top and bottom. These tips help your photo look good everywhere:
Use a wide (landscape) photo. The best shape is 16:10, like 1920 x 1200 pixels.
Keep the main subject in the center. Dishes or people near the edges may get cut off.
Don't put text in the photo. Use the Headline instead, so your words show clearly on every screen.
