Add tracking codes and track Google Ads orders

Add tracking codes from Google, Meta, or TikTok to your website to measure visits and ad results. If you run Google Ads, you can also count your online orders as conversions.

Add your tracking codes

Enter only the ID itself, like G-XXXXXXXXXX, not the full code snippet.

  1. In your Owner Dashboard, go to Website › Website tracking.

  2. Enter the ID for each tool you use.

  3. Click Save changes.

You can add these IDs:

  • Meta Pixel ID: a number from Meta, for Facebook and Instagram ads.

  • Google Analytics ID: starts with G-.

  • Google Tag Manager ID: starts with GTM-.

  • TikTok Pixel ID: from TikTok Ads Manager.

  • Adform tracking ID and TVSquared: for TV and display ads, if your ad agency gives you these.

⚠️ Google Ads IDs that start with AW- and old IDs that start with UA- do not work. Use your Google Analytics ID that starts with G-.

Where to find each ID

Each tool shows your ID in its own account.

Meta Pixel ID

  1. Log in to Facebook and go to Ads Manager.

  2. Open the menu and select Events Manager.

  3. Find your website's name. The Pixel ID is right below it.

Google Analytics ID

  1. Sign in to Google Analytics.

  2. Go to Admin › Data streams and click your data stream. If you don't have one, add one first.

  3. The Measurement ID is at the top right. It starts with G-.

Google Tag Manager ID

  1. Go to tagmanager.google.com and sign in.

  2. Open your container. In the Workspace tab, the container ID is at the top right. It starts with GTM-.

TikTok Pixel ID

  1. Log in to TikTok Ads Manager.

  2. Open Assets › Events › Web Events and select your web pixel.

  3. The Pixel ID appears in the pixel's details.

ℹ️ Note: For help setting up tags inside Meta, Google, or TikTok, contact them directly. In Owner, you only need the right ID in the right field.

What works in Google Tag Manager

To keep your website safe for guests, some tag types don't run on Owner websites.

Works:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) tags

  • Google Ads Conversion Tracking

  • Conversion Linker

  • Google Ads Remarketing

  • Community templates (for example, the Meta Pixel)

Doesn't work:

  • Custom HTML tags

  • Custom JavaScript variables

Track Google Ads orders

Owner tells Google Analytics every time a guest completes an order, with the order total, so there's no code to add. Make sure your Google Analytics ID is saved first, then import orders into Google Ads.

  1. In Google Analytics, go to Admin › Product links › Google Ads links, click Link, and select your Google Ads account.

  2. In Google Ads, go to Goals › Conversions › Summary. Click + Create conversion action, then Import › Google Analytics 4 properties › Web.

  3. Select the purchase event and save.

  4. Set the conversion to Primary. Imported conversions start as Secondary, which records them but doesn't use them for bidding.

Orders can take up to 24 hours to show in Google Ads, or up to 48 hours after you first link the two accounts.
