Set up nested options

Set up nested options (options within options) so choosing one option opens another set of choices. For example, a guest picks a size, then picks toppings for that size.

Before you start: Make sure nested options are right for your menu. See What are nested options and when should I use them?.

⚠️ The Nested option groups section only appears when you open an already-saved, location-level option at a location with no POS integration. It's hidden on brand-level options, on new options before the first save, and at POS-connected locations. For a brand-level option, open it from the location's menu instead, or use the Owner App.

In the Owner Dashboard

You can do this two ways. Pick whichever is easier; both open the same Nested Option Groups section.

Starting from the Options page

  1. Click Menu in the left-hand navigation.

  2. Click the Options tab at the top of the page.

  3. Click the option that needs nested option groups inside it (for example, click Small to nest Toppings inside it).

  4. Scroll down to Nested Option Groups and click Add Option Groups.

  5. Select an existing option group or create a new one, then click Add Option Groups. If you create a new one, add options to it afterward.

  6. Click Save.
