You can change an existing option's details any time, like its name, price, how many a guest can order, allergens, or availability. Edit it in the Owner Dashboard or the Owner App. Options and option groups are also known as modifiers and modifier groups.

In the Owner Dashboard
Edit an option from the Options tab.
⚠️ If your menu syncs from Clover Menu Sync or Otter, some fields are read-only or work differently. See Clover Menu Sync and Otter menus below.
Click Menu in the left-hand navigation.
Click the Options tab at the top of the page.
Click the option you want to edit.
Change what you need, then click Save at the top.
You can change:
the Photo, Display Name, and Amount (the price; enter $0.00 if free).
the Selection: enter the minimum and maximum number of this option a guest can order. A minimum of 0 makes it optional. Set the maximum to a number or No Limit. For example, min 0 and max 3 lets a guest add up to three, and min 1 and max 1 requires exactly one.
the Allergens that apply and whether the option contains alcohol.
whether sales tax applies to this option's price.
the Nested Option Groups, the choices that appear when a guest picks this option. (see: How do I set up nested options?)
the Internal Name (a staff-facing name) and Availability.
ℹ️ Note: This minimum and maximum is per option, meaning how many of this one option a guest can order. The option group's display type controls how many options total a guest picks from the group.
Clover Menu Sync and Otter menus
If your menu syncs from Clover Menu Sync or Otter, the option editor works differently:
The price is read-only.
There's no Available toggle. You'll see read-only POS availability plus a Hide from guest menu toggle.
You can't set a separate internal name.
Otter options show a Maximum only, and allergens are read-only.
In the Owner App
In the app, you edit an option from inside its option group.
Tap More, then tap Menu.
Tap the dropdown arrow and choose the menu you want to work with.
Tap the category that includes the item with the option.
Tap the item.
Tap the option group, then tap the option you want to edit.
Change what you need, then tap Save.
You can change the same details here, including the display name, price, and availability. Under Selection Rule, set the minimum and maximum of this option. You can also change nested option groups, whether it's a pizza topping, and the internal name.
