Steps:

  1. From the Owner Dashboard, click on Restaurant on the left side of the page

  2. Next, click on Coupons

  3. Make sure you are viewing the correct location you'd like to create the coupon for (location selector is at the top left corner of the page)

    1. You may also select 'All Locations' if you'd like the coupon to be used across all of your locations

  4. Click on the Create Coupon button at the top right corner of the page

  5. Enter the Coupon Code that the guests will type in to redeem this

  6. Pick the Discount Type (percent off or fixed amount off) and Amount Off (how much the discount is).

  7. Pick from the Applied To options: will this coupon be applied to the entire order, or only for certain menu items or categories?

    1. If you choose Items or categories, a dropdown will show and you then must select which items or categories you want this coupon to be applied to.

  8. More settings (optional):

    1. Start/End Date: if the customer wants this coupon to only be available for a certain period of time (eg. January 1-January 31), enter the dates here. This is different from the coupon Availability days (eg. only available Monday-Friday).

    2. Require specific items or categories in cart: toggle this on if a guest needs to have certain items or categories in their cart to redeem this coupon

        1. If you toggle this on, a dropdown will show and you then must select which items or categories the guest needs to have in their cart.

    3. Require minimum spend: if the guest needs to spend a minimum amount to redeem this coupon

    4. Promote on your menu: if the customer wants this coupon shown at the top of the menu on the OLO page

    5. Use a different name internally: if the customer wants to see the coupon called something besides the Coupon Code internally (on the Dashboard, tablet & printed tickets)

    6. Description: write a description of the coupon here - this will show with the coupon if "Promote on your menu" is toggled on

    7. Maximum use: the number of total times the coupon can be used (eg. if set to 100, the coupon can only be used 100 times overall)

    8. Usage limit: how often the coupon can be used by the same guest

    9. Redeemable Channels: if the customer wants the coupon to be redeemed on the mobile app only or website only (see: Can a customer promote coupons for pick-up only or app only?)

    10. Redeemable Order Types: if the customer wants the coupon to be redeemed for delivery only or pick-up only

    11. Availability Hours: the days of the week the coupon can be used by guests

    12. Available: marks the coupon totally available/unavailable

  9. Click Save Coupon at the top when done.
