How do I edit a menu item in the Owner app?

Need to 86 an entrée, tweak its price, or rename it on the fly?

Follow these quick steps.

1. Open the Menu tab

The tab shows all your menus (Default, Catering, Seasonal, etc.) in the order they appear to guests.

Switch menus if needed: tap the menu name at the top and pick another list.

2. Find the item

1. Tap a category (e.g., "Flatbreads").
2. Scroll to the item you want to edit. You’ll see its photo, price, and current state of availability.

3. Make your edits

Turn an item off (or back on):

Toggle the item to Unavailable. The change is instant; guests won’t see the item until you turn it back on.

Note: Your menu header shows an Unavailable Items link; tap it to bulk‑review and restore anything that’s hidden.

Change name, description, price, or photo:

1. Tap the item to open its detail screen.
2. Edit the field you need:

  • text boxes for name and description

  • number field for price

  • photo thumbnail to upload a new picture

3. Save; the update publishes immediately to web, app, and in‑house ordering.

Adjust modifiers / options:

Need to disable “Cheddar Cheese” everywhere?

Go to the Options tab, find the option group, and toggle Unavailable on that choice; every linked item updates at once.

4. Verify your change

Return to the category or use the guest‑facing ordering site to confirm the item looks correct.

Tips & troubleshooting

  • Can’t find the item? Make sure you’re on the right menu (Default vs. Catering) and the correct location via the top‑bar switcher.
Wrong menu order? While still in the Menu tab, tap Edit to reorder or delete categories; swipe like you would on any iOS list.
