⚠️ Because your Owner account syncs automatically with Toast, any edits made in Owner will be overwritten on the next sync.
To avoid this, update your menus, categories and items directly in Toast’s POS interface.
In Owner, go to Restaurant > Menu > Menus.
You’ll see your Menus, Categories and Items listed but they’re greyed out and uneditable. A black banner at the top explains: “Most menu edits must be made directly in your POS.”
Menu settings you can still edit in Owner
Even with a Toast integration, these five settings remain editable in Owner:
Category availability | Set hours when a Category appears on your online menu. |
Upsell Categories | Mark whole Categories for special promotion or upselling. |
Item loyalty redemption | Change how many loyalty points a guest needs to redeem an Item for free. |
Popular Items | Highlight your best-sellers on the website by marking them “Popular.” |
Upsell Items | Tag individual Items to be offered as add-ons at checkout. |
