Opting a guest in? Confirm you have their consent
Unsubscribing a guest is instant. To subscribe a guest, Owner first asks you to confirm you have permission to market to them. You'll certify that:
the guest gave consent to receive marketing from your business, and you have a record of it (for example, a signed intake form, a checkout opt-in, or their own request),
if you plan to text them, that consent covers SMS specifically (email consent alone isn't enough under U.S. law, the TCPA), and
you didn't buy, rent, append, or get the contact from a third party.
How your guests can opt out on their own
Your guests can also unsubscribe themselves at any time:
Text: reply STOP to any marketing text. This stops texts only, not emails.
Email: click Unsubscribe at the bottom of any marketing email.
On your website: if they have an account, they can log in, open Profile, scroll to Details, uncheck the email or text marketing options, and Save.
