How your guests place a group order

Guests can order together in one shared cart on your online ordering page. One guest starts it, shares a link, and pays for everyone, so it reaches you as a single order.

How a group order works

1. A guest starts a group order from your online ordering page.

2. They share a link or QR code with the people ordering with them.

3. Everyone adds their own items to one shared cart.

4. The guest who started the group order pays for everything in one checkout.

Guests don't need an account to start or join a group order.

Why you'll see names on your items

When more than one guest adds items, each item arrives with a note naming the guest who chose it, like Please write name: Blake. The note sits with any other special instructions for that item, so it prints on your kitchen ticket and item labels.

Use the names to bag and label each guest's food.

ℹ️ Names only appear when more than one guest adds items. If a single guest builds the whole order, it reaches you like any other order.

What guests can set

The guest who starts a group order can add two optional limits.

  • A spending limit per person: anywhere from $1 to $1,000. Guests who reach the limit have to remove something before they can add more.

  • A deadline to finish ordering: up to 7 days out. After the deadline, only the guest who started the order can change it. They can reopen it if someone still needs to add food.

Where group orders are available

  • Guests can start a group order on your online ordering page in a web browser, on a computer or a phone.

  • Group orders aren't available in your guest app.

  • Guests can't start a group order from your catering menu.

Group ordering is available to all your guests, and there isn't a setting to turn it off.

✅ Tip: Group orders are often larger than single orders. You can always add extra prep time for orders above a size you choose in your prep time settings.
