How guests choose a location when ordering

When a guest orders on your menu page, they pick a location and fulfillment method first. This helps prevent orders placed at the wrong location or when a restaurant is closed.

Pickup

The guest chooses Pickup, then a location. At multi-location brands, the guest can enter an address to sort locations by distance. Each location shows its:

  • Name

  • Open or closed status

  • Address

The guest then picks ASAP or a scheduled time.

Delivery

The guest chooses Delivery and enters their address. The system picks the closest open location that can deliver and shows it under Delivering from. If more than one location can deliver, the guest can expand the list and choose another.

⚠️ If the address is too far away, the guest sees No locations deliver to this address and cannot place a delivery order. They can try another address.

If a location looks wrong

In your branded guest app, guests see a warning when their selected location looks wrong, so they order from the right place. The app warns them when:

  • A closer location is available.

  • The pickup location is far from the guest.

  • The delivery address is far from the chosen location.
