ℹ️ Requires table service turned on. Available on Owner POS.
Read the floor plan
Tap Tables in the side drawer. The Floor plan shows every table, with the initials of the server who has it. If you have more than one area, tap the area name under Floor plan to switch.
The Tables list on the left shows each open table, its area and server, and its status:
No label: the table is empty and ready to seat.
Seated: guests are seated, but nothing has been sent yet.
Sent: items are with the kitchen.
Printed: the check was printed.
Paid: the check is paid.
Needs clearing: guests have paid, and the table needs to be reset.
Switch between Mine and All at the top of the list to see only your tables or everyone's.
Seat a table
Sign in with your PIN.
From the side drawer, tap Tables, then tap an empty table.
Check that your name shows as the employee, then tap Seat. The table's order opens.
ℹ️ If the POS shows "No employee is currently signed in," sign in with your PIN first.
Send items to the kitchen in rounds
New items wait under Unsent until you send them. Each round goes to the kitchen as its own ticket.
Add items to the order.
Tap Stay to send them and keep the order open, or tap Send to send them and go back to Tables.
For the next round, tap the table again and repeat.
Items move from Sent to Completed when the kitchen completes the ticket, so you know the food is ready.
ℹ️ Everything under Unsent goes to the kitchen together. To hold an item for later, add it in a later round.
Change or void an item
To change an item under Unsent, tap it, make your changes, and tap Update. To remove it, swipe left and tap the trash icon.
To remove an item you already sent, tap it and choose Void item, or swipe left and tap Void sent item. The kitchen gets a VOID ticket so they stop making it.
⚠️ You cannot void an item once its check has a payment. Voiding requires void permission by default, so a manager may need to approve.
Split the check
Split one table into separate checks when guests want to pay on their own. Each check can get its own items, discounts, and payment.
On the table's order, tap Actions, then Split checks.
Add a check, then move items to it. To share an item, split it into equal parts and move each part to a different check.
Save your changes. Swipe between checks to add items to each one.
Once a table has more than one check, the menu shows Manage checks instead. Kitchen tickets add the check number, like Table 5 - 2.
✅ If you know who's paying separately, add the checks at the start and ring up each guest on their own check.
Other actions on a table
Tap Actions on the table's order:
Change table: move the whole order to another table.
Change staff member: give the table to another server.
Add discount: apply a saved coupon, or choose Discount check or Discount items to take a percent or dollar amount off. With more than one check, the discount applies to the check you're on.
Add customer / Redeem rewards: add the guest so they earn and use loyalty points.
Print check: print the check to bring to the table. With more than one check, choose All checks or Current check.
Switch to Quick: move the order out of table service. Only available before you split checks or take a payment.
Void order: cancel the whole order.
ℹ️ You can't merge two tables into one order. If another group joins a table, add a check for them with Split checks.
Take payment
1. On the table's order, swipe to the check you want to pay, then tap Checkout. If any items haven't been sent, the POS asks if you want to send them first.
2. Choose a payment method and tap Pay.
3. Repeat for each check. You can pay one check now and leave the others open.
You can still split one check across cards or cash, and use paper tipping. Pay later isn't offered on a table's order, since it stays open on its own. See Take payment on your Owner tablet or POS.
Clear the table
After guests pay, the table shows Needs clearing. Once it's reset:
1. Tap the table on the floor plan or in the Tables list.
2. Tap Clear table to confirm. The table is ready to seat again.
