By default, catering orders are accepted automatically. If you turn on Review before accepting instead, you can accept or decline each catering order within one hour during your store hours.
How review works
When Review before accepting is on:
Guests see a Request catering order option at checkout and aren't charged until you confirm.
A catering request auto-declines if you don't accept it within one hour.
If a request comes in after you close, the one-hour timer starts when you next open.
Turn on review from your Owner Dashboard
Go to Settings › Ordering options › Catering.
Turn on Review before accepting.
Turn on review from the Owner app
Go to Ordering Options › Catering.
Turn on Review before accepting.
Turn on review from your Owner tablet
Go to Settings › Catering.
Turn on Review before accepting.
Accept or decline an order
When a catering order needs review, you get a notification and the order shows a Requested status.
Open the order on your Owner Dashboard, Owner app, or Owner tablet.
Review the order details.
Choose Accept or Decline before the timer runs out.
Confirm your choice.
Here's what happens next:
Accept: the order is confirmed, the guest's card is charged, and they get a confirmation. The status changes to Scheduled.
Decline: the order is canceled with no charge, and the guest is notified. The status changes to Voided.
Notifications
With review turned on, you get catering-request notifications by email, SMS, and push notification in the Owner app. You also get reminders, including one when an order is two days out.
