To offer limited-time pricing, create a copy of the category with the special price, then schedule when each category is available. The special category shows only during the promotion and the original shows the rest of the time, so the special price only applies during the window you set.
Step 1: Duplicate the category and items
Go to Menu in the left-hand navigation, click the Menus tab, then open the menu you're changing.
Find the category you want to update and click the duplicate icon (two overlapping squares) on its right. This creates a copy of the category with (Copy) added to its name.
Open the new category and click the duplicate icon (two overlapping squares) on each item you want to change. Each copy gets (Copy) added to its name.
Update the category's display name so guests don't see "(Copy)", and give it an internal name (like adding "Special") so it's easy to find.
Open each new item and make your changes, such as adjusting the price.
Update the item's display name so guests don't see "(Copy)", and give it an internal name (like adding "Special") to identify it.
Repeat for every item in the category whose price you're changing. Leave the items you're not changing as they are.
Step 2: Set availability hours for each category
For example, say you want the special pricing to run from 8 AM to 1 PM, Monday through Thursday.
Open the special category and scroll down to Advanced Settings, where you'll see Availability Hours.
Select the days and times you want this category to be available:
Toggle the days the category should be available on or off.
For each available day, click it and choose the specific hours the category is active.
Go back to the original category and do the same, but set its times around the special window.
Set the original category to be available for the rest of the day (in this example, 1 PM to 9 PM) so the menu stays active after the special ends.
Leave the other days (when the special isn't running) unchanged so they keep working as usual.
