Requirements
Delivery turned on (Provide delivery at this location)
Permission to edit store settings (Admin or Manager by default)
Add a delivery zone
Your zones are on the Delivery page (Settings › Orders and delivery › Delivery) in your Owner Dashboard. Each zone covers one area.
Click Add zone, then select Owner online ordering or Catering.
Under Provider, select In-House, DoorDash, or Uber Eats.
Under Area, select Radius or Zip Code.
Enter the radius in miles, or enter the zip code.
Click Save.
You can also set a fee and a minimum order amount for each zone. To change or delete a zone, click it in the list.
Radius zones
A radius zone covers addresses within a set driving distance of your restaurant. It uses the shortest driving route, not a straight line, so the area follows the roads and isn't a perfect circle.
This is why an address that looks inside the circle on a map can still show as outside your delivery area.
⚠️ DoorDash zones cannot be larger than 5 miles.
Choose the right radius size
A smaller radius gives you faster, more reliable deliveries. The farther a driver has to go, the more likely the order arrives late or the delivery fails.
In some dense US cities, we recommend a maximum radius. If your restaurant is in one of these cities, keep each zone at or below this radius:
City | Recommended maximum radius |
Manhattan | 2 miles |
Philadelphia, Washington DC | 2.5 miles |
Brooklyn | 3 miles |
Queens, Bronx, Chicago, Boston | 4 miles |
This is a recommendation, not a limit.
Zip code zones
A zip code zone covers every address in one zip code. To deliver to more than one zip code, add a zone for each one.
ℹ️ Note: Zip code zones aren't available for restaurants in Canada.
Block delivery to an area
To stop delivery to part of your area, add a radius or zip code zone that covers it. Then set Delivery to Not Allowed.
Custom zones
If a radius or zip code doesn't fit your area, Owner support can build a custom zone with an exact shape. Contact Owner support with the area you want covered.
