Use these features to manage prep times during busy hours and for large orders.
Find and adjust these settings under Location Dashboard → Fulfillment.
Prep Time Overrides
Prep Time Overrides let you set a custom prep time for specific hours and days, overriding your Default Prep Time. They do not add to your Default Prep Time, and time windows cannot overlap.
Example: If your Default Prep Time is 15 minutes but you need 50 minutes on Fridays from 5 PM–9 PM, set an Override for 50 minutes during those hours on Fridays.
Large Order Thresholds
Automatically add extra prep time when an order is unusually large. Use Large Order Thresholds to keep kitchen stress low during big catering or bulk orders.
Choose one threshold type per location:
Dollar amount (minimum $75)
Item count (minimum 10 items)
Busy Mode on the Tablet
Busy Mode helps you manage sudden spikes in order volume right from the tablet. When turned on, it adds extra time (in 5-minute steps) to whatever prep time is active.
Activate Busy Mode: Tap the Busy Mode button on your tablet.
Adjust in 5-minute increments: Add as much buffer as you need.
Duration: Automatically ends after 60 minutes.
Revert to normal: After 60 minutes, the system returns to your active Default Prep Time or Override.
Note: Busy Mode overrides both Default Prep Time and any Prep Time Override while active.
