If your restaurant needs more time to prepare orders, you can activate Busy Mode, to temporarily add prep time for all incoming orders and notify guests of the delay via SMS.

You can switch it on or off in seconds from your Owner tablet or The Owner App.

In the Owner Tablet:

1. Open the Kitchen Tablet and tap Kitchen status

2. Tap Busy

3. Add extra time in 5-minute increments

4. Tap Update Status to turn on 'Busy Mode'

Busy Mode will automatically turn off after 60 minutes

In the Owner App:

1. Open The Owner App and tap the Store tab

2. Tap Normal prep time

3. Toggle on Busy Mode

4. Set your Busy Mode preferences:

  • Adjust the extra prep time needed

  • Choose when Busy Mode should end

5. Tap Set busy status to confirm

7. View Busy Mode status on the Store screen

A countdown timer shows when Busy Mode prep time will end
