⚠️ Before you begin: Your Prep station must be set up and your tablet must be signed in and assigned to the correct station. See How do I set up my kitchen display stations for Owner POS? if you have not done this yet.

What is a Prep station?

A Prep station is dedicated to a specific area of your kitchen, such as Pizza or Drinks. It only shows the items assigned to it, so your kitchen staff can focus on what they need to prepare. When your station finishes its items, the Expo station updates automatically.

Understanding your tabs

Orders are organized across two tabs:

1. In Progress (default view).

Shows items currently being prepared. This is where your prep staff work during a shift.

2. Ready.

Shows items your station has finished. Tap Recall to return a ticket to In Progress if needed.

Marking items as done

  1. When an order comes in, it appears automatically on the In Progress tab showing only the items assigned to your station.

  2. As each item is prepared, tap the circle next to it to mark it done. A green checkmark appears when an item is complete.

  3. When all items on a ticket are checked off, the ticket moves to the Ready tab. The Expo station updates automatically to reflect that your station is finished.

ℹ️ Item status syncs across all stations in real time. If the expeditor unchecks an item from the Expo station, it will reappear on your In Progress tab.

Overdue orders

Orders with a red banner are overdue and need immediate attention.

Moving a completed ticket back

  1. Tap the Ready tab.

  2. Find the ticket.

  3. Tap Recall to move it back to In Progress.
