How do I split a payment on the Owner POS and Owner Tablet?

Split lets you divide one order across multiple payments. Use it when guests want to pay on separate cards, mix cash and card, or split a check evenly.

Add a split payment

1. Build the order and tap the green Checkout button.

2. On the payment screen, tap Actions.

3. Tap Split.

4. Choose a preset split (2, 3, or 4 equal parts) or enter a custom amount, then tap Done.

5. The split appears in the list. Tap it to pick a payment method.

6. Process the payment. The completed split shows as crossed out and the remaining balance updates.

7. Tap the next split and repeat until the full balance is paid.

8. Tap New sale when the order is complete.


Remove a split payment

1. On the payment screen, tap the split you want to remove.

2. Tap the trash icon.

3. The remaining balance updates.

โš ๏ธ You can only remove splits that haven't been paid yet. Paid splits require a refund to reverse.
