How do I refund an order on the Owner POS and Owner Tablet?

Issue a full or partial refund from the Orders screen. Card refunds go back to the original payment method. Cash refunds open the cash drawer automatically on Owner POS.

ℹ️ Refund is only available on paid orders placed through Owner channels (in-store, phone, or Owner website). It doesn't appear on marketplace orders.

Refund a card payment

1. Open the Orders screen and tap the order you want to refund.

2. Tap Refund in the actions row, or tap the Actions menu ("...") and then tap Refund.

⚠️ Don't have refund permissions? Ask a manager to enter their PIN to approve the refund on your behalf.

3. Enter the refund amount. You can tap a preset ($1, $2, $3, $5), tap Full Refund, or type a custom amount.

ℹ️ If the order was paid with multiple cards, you'll see each payment listed. Enter the refund amount for each card separately.

4. Tap Refund.

5. Tap Done on the confirmation screen.


Refund a cash payment

1. Follow steps 1-3 above, but select the cash payment.

2. Tap Refund.

3. Hand the guest the amount shown on screen.

ℹ️ On Owner POS, the cash drawer opens automatically after a cash refund. On Owner Tablet, the cash drawer doesn't open automatically since there's no drawer connected.

4. Tap Done.
