Set the order of your delivery zones

When you have more than one delivery zone, Owner checks them from the top down each time a guest enters their address. The first zone that covers the address sets the delivery fee and provider the guest gets, and Owner doesn't check the zones below it.

How matching works

  • Radius zone: checks whether the address is within the set driving distance.

  • Zip code zone: checks whether the address's zip code matches.

  • Custom zone: checks whether the address falls inside the shape.

If the first zone doesn't match, Owner moves to the next one. It keeps going until it finds a match or runs out of zones.

Order your zones intentionally

Because the first matching zone wins, list your most specific or highest-priority zones first. For example, if a narrower in-house zone should win over a broader third-party zone for nearby addresses, put the in-house zone above it.

ℹ️ Note: Owner support sets up restricted zones, which block delivery to a specific area. A restricted zone needs to sit above the zones it overrides, so contact us if you need one and we'll place it correctly.

If a provider can't deliver

If your top matching zone uses a provider (for example, DoorDash) that can't quote the address, Owner automatically moves to the next matching zone and tries its provider (for example, Uber Eats). Owner turns down the address only after every matching zone's provider has failed.
