Connect Grubhub to Owner

ℹ️ Note: if your location is connected to a point-of-sale integration such as Toast, Clover, Square or Otter, don't connect Grubhub here. Set it up through your POS provider instead.

Connect Grubhub to your Owner Dashboard, publish one menu to it, and take Grubhub orders alongside the rest of your orders.

Before you start

Before you connect, get these ready:

  • An active Grubhub account that manages your Grubhub stores.

  • A complete Owner menu, ready to go live on Grubhub.

⚠️ Connecting replaces your Grubhub menu with your Owner menu, and the old one is not kept. After you connect, you edit that menu in Owner, not in Grubhub. Finish your Owner menu before you connect.

Connect your Grubhub account

  1. Log out of your Grubhub account in your browser first, so Owner connects the right account.

  2. In your Owner Dashboard, go to Settings › Marketplaces.

  3. On the Grubhub row, click Connect, then log in with your Grubhub account.

Choose your store, menu, and pricing

  1. Choose an Owner location, then pick the Grubhub store to connect it to.

  2. Under Menu to sync, choose the one menu you want on Grubhub.

  3. To mark your prices up for Grubhub, set a Price increase and choose Rounding (None or Nearest .49/.99).

  4. Click Save. Owner publishes your menu and brings your store online. Refresh the page to see the status change to active.

Once your store is active, Grubhub orders come into your Dashboard and POS automatically, tagged Grubhub, next to your other orders.

⚠️ To charge a different price for pickup and delivery, check Use in store price for pickup. That box alone does not turn it on. You also need to contact your Grubhub representative to enable dual pricing on Grubhub's side.

If a Grubhub store shows as ineligible

When you pick a store, some may appear under Ineligible stores. Here's what to do for each reason:

  • Connected to another partner: the store is linked to another integration. Click Disconnect from current partner, then connect it to Owner.

  • Operating hours not set on Grubhub: set your store hours in your Grubhub portal, then try again.

  • Grubhub configuration required: contact Grubhub to fix the store, then connect it.

ℹ️ Note: your locations don't need to share one Grubhub account. Each location connects with its own Grubhub login, one at a time. If you don't see a store you expect, log out here and at grubhub.com, then log in with that location's Grubhub account. If it's still missing, contact Grubhub.

Keep your Grubhub menu up to date

Manage your Grubhub menu from your Owner Dashboard, the same way you manage the rest of your menu. Changes sync to Grubhub on their own, and you edit this menu only in Owner.

ℹ️ Note: changes can take a few minutes to appear on Grubhub.

Refresh your Grubhub menu

If your Grubhub menu looks out of date, you can re-sync it yourself.

  1. In your Owner Dashboard, go to Settings › Marketplaces.

  2. Open your connected Grubhub store.

  3. Click Re-sync menus.

Change which menu syncs

You can switch the menu that syncs to Grubhub at any time.

  1. In your Owner Dashboard, go to Settings › Marketplaces, then open your Grubhub store.

  2. Under Menu to sync, choose a different menu.

  3. Click Save.

⚠️ Switching menus replaces your current Grubhub menu with the new one.
