Before you start
Before you connect, get these ready:
An active Grubhub account that manages your Grubhub stores.
A complete Owner menu, ready to go live on Grubhub.
⚠️ Caution: Connecting replaces your Grubhub menu with your Owner menu. After you connect, you edit that menu from Owner, not from Grubhub. Finish your Owner menu before you connect.
Connect your Grubhub account
Log out of your Grubhub account in your browser first, so Owner connects the right account.
In your Owner dashboard, go to Settings, then Marketplaces.
On the Grubhub row, click Connect, then log in with your Grubhub account.
Choose your store, menu, and pricing
Choose an Owner location, then pick the Grubhub store to connect it to.
Under Menu to sync, choose the one menu you want on Grubhub.
To mark your prices up for Grubhub, set a Price increase and choose Rounding (None or Nearest .49/.99).
⚠️ To charge a different price for pickup and delivery, check Use in store price for pickup. This box alone doesn't turn it on. You also need to contact your Grubhub representative to enable dual pricing on Grubhub's side.
Click Save. Owner publishes your menu and brings your store online. Refresh the page to see the status change to active.
✅ Tip: Once your store is active, Grubhub orders come into your dashboard and POS automatically, tagged Grubhub, next to your other orders.
If a Grubhub store shows as ineligible
When you pick a store, some may appear under Ineligible stores. Here's what to do for each reason:
Connected to another partner: the store is linked to another integration. Click Disconnect from current partner, then connect it to Owner.
Operating hours not set on Grubhub: set your store hours in your Grubhub portal, then try again.
Grubhub configuration required: contact Grubhub to fix the store, then connect it.
ℹ️ Note: If you don't see a store you expect, log out at the bottom of the page and log in with a different Grubhub account. If it's still missing, contact Grubhub.
Manage your menu
Manage your Grubhub menu from your Owner dashboard, the same way you manage the rest of your menu. When you make a change, it syncs to Grubhub automatically. You edit this menu only in Owner, not on Grubhub's side.
ℹ️ Note: Changes can take a few minutes to appear on Grubhub.
Refresh your Grubhub menu
If your Grubhub menu looks out of date, you can re-sync it yourself.
In your Owner dashboard, go to Settings, then Marketplaces.
Open your connected Grubhub store.
Click Re-sync menus.
Change which menu syncs
You can switch the menu that syncs to Grubhub at any time.
In your Owner dashboard, go to Settings, then Marketplaces, and open your Grubhub store.
Under Menu to sync, choose a different menu.
Click Save.
⚠️ Caution: Switching menus replaces your current Grubhub menu with the new one.
Manage your hours
Your Grubhub hours come from your Online hours in Owner, so you set them once.
In your Owner dashboard, go to Settings, then Location Settings, then Hours.
Open Online hours. These set when guests can place pickup or delivery orders, and they're what sync to Grubhub.
Choose how to set them: Same as store hours, Offset from store hours, or Custom.
Save. Your hours, including Special hours like holidays, sync to Grubhub automatically.
ℹ️ Note: Grubhub stops taking orders about 50 minutes before you close. That's normal on Grubhub's side, not a sync problem.
Pause Grubhub orders
Pause Grubhub orders from your Owner POS when you need a break, without disconnecting.
On your Owner POS, tap Kitchen status, then Busy.
Tap Pause online orders.
On the Marketplace orders tab, check Grubhub, then confirm.
ℹ️ Note: Grubhub doesn't follow a set pause duration. It pauses on its own schedule and resumes the next business day.
Resume Grubhub orders
To start taking Grubhub orders again before then, tap the banner at the top of your POS, then tap Resume Grubhub orders.
ℹ️ Note: If resume fails with an account status message, contact Grubhub to reopen your store.
Disconnect Grubhub
You can disconnect Grubhub from Owner yourself.
⚠️ Caution: Disconnecting takes your Grubhub store offline. To bring it back online, contact your Grubhub support representative, or reconnect it to Owner.
In your Owner dashboard, go to Settings, then Marketplaces.
Click Log in with Grubhub to manage stores.
Open the store, then click Deactivate.
Confirm.
