How can I add or adjust a prep‑time buffer in the Owner app?

Use the prep‑time buffer to add or remove minutes from every new order when the kitchen is running behind. Change it any time from the Store tab.

1. Open the Store tab

In the tab bar, tap Store. Operational settings like prep‑time buffer and Busy Mode live here.

2. Open Prep Time

Find the Prep Time row and tap it. A panel appears with the current buffer in minutes.

3. Set your buffer

  • Add minutes: Use the plus button or keypad to increase the buffer. Each new order will quote a later ready time.

  • Remove minutes: Use the minus button or delete the number to shorten or clear the buffer.

Note: The change applies immediately; there is no extra Save step.

4. Verify from the Home tab

When a buffer is active, the Home tab shows an alert chip labeled "Prep‑time override is on". Clear the alert by returning to Prep Time and setting the buffer to 0.

Tips:

  • Use the buffer sparingly so guests get accurate pickup or delivery times.

  • The buffer applies to all ordering channels: website, app, and in‑house.

  • If the alert chip does not clear, pull down to refresh the Home tab or confirm you are on the correct location via the top‑bar switcher.
