How do I refund a guest from Inbox in the Owner App?

Issue a full or partial refund from any Inbox Chat that has a linked order. Available in the Actions menu of Support requests and Google reviews tied to an order.

⚠️ Refunds from Inbox are only available on Chats with a linked order (guest support requests and Google reviews from Owner's automated post-order review system).


Issue a refund

1. Open the Owner App on your phone.

2. Tap the Inbox tab in the bottom navigation.

3. Open the Chat for the guest you want to refund. This is usually in the Support tab, but Refund also appears on Reviews tied to a specific order.

4. Tap the lightning bolt icon in the top right corner to open the Actions menu.

5. Tap Refund.

6. Choose Full refund or Partial refund. For a partial refund, enter the amount.

7. Confirm the refund.

⚠️ Refunds happen immediately. The guest is credited on their original payment method, and the refund can't be reversed from the Owner App.


What happens after the refund

  • The guest is credited on their original payment method.

  • The refund shows up in the Chat (for example, Partial refund $1.00) so you and your team can see it was handled.

  • The refund appears in your Owner Dashboard under your order history.
