⚠️ Delivery tracking only appears for orders fulfilled by Uber Eats or DoorDash. If you're using your own drivers, tracking won't show up for those orders.
Open the Owner app and tap Orders.
Tap the delivery order you want to track. You'll see a red In progress banner at the top with a countdown to delivery, and a green progress bar that fills as the order moves along.
Tap the progress bar to open the full Delivery Status screen.
What you'll see on the Delivery Status screen
Once it's open, you'll have everything you need to check on your guest's order in one place:
A live map with the courier's location, your restaurant pin, and your guest's address pin.
The driver's first name, photo, and phone number, with a Call driver button.
The estimated delivery time.
A timeline of every step, with the time it happened.
What each step means
The timeline updates as the delivery moves along. Here's what each step tells you:
Step | What it means |
Driver assigned | Uber Eats or DoorDash has matched a courier to the order. |
Arrived at store | The courier is at your restaurant to pick up the food. |
Headed to customer | The courier has the food and is on the way to your guest. |
Arrived at customer | The courier is at your guest's address. |
Delivered | The order has been handed off. For Uber Eats orders, this step also shows a photo of the food at your guest's door. |
If there's a delay, you'll be able to see why
Here's what each delay note means:
Note | What it means |
Driver waited X mins | The courier had to wait at your restaurant before pickup. Shown under Arrived at store. |
Driver has multiple stops | The courier picked up an earlier delivery first and is on a batched route. Shown under Headed to customer. |
Assigning driver | The order is paid, but no driver has accepted it yet. Shown in place of a courier name. |
After the food is delivered
Once the courier marks the order delivered, the red In progress pill changes to a grey Completed banner, and the progress bar fills green.
For Uber Eats orders, the Delivered step in the timeline also shows a photo the courier captured at your guest's door.
